Boulder, Colorado, August 1, 2018-- The owners of Boulder Tire and Tire Inc. have announced that Boulder Tire, a subsidiary of Independent Motors, has acquired Tires Inc.’s inventory and state-of-the-art equipment and hired several of their skilled employees.
Tires Inc. will close on August 1, 2018, after doing business for 35 years in Boulder. Owner Nick Hardy is pleased to be able to refer his customers to another trusted longtime Boulder automotive business.
“I believe Boulder Tire will provide our customers with the same quality service and competitive pricing they’ve received from us. Boulder Tire’s owner, Bill Bender, has been in the auto business in Boulder for 35 years. We opened the same year. Bill has purchased our top of the line equipment and extensive tire inventory and hired several of our employees. Their expertise will help ensure a seamless transition for our customers. I can close our doors knowing that our customers will be in good hands.”
Bender opened his auto repair business, Independent Motors, at 250 Pearl Street in 1983, and moved into a new custom-built shop at 5440 Arapahoe in 2013. He opened Boulder Tire to offer his customers one-stop shopping for their automotive needs.
“We’re excited that our tire customers will have more options in high-quality tires at varying price points when we add Nick’s Bridgestone and Firestone tires to our inventory of Continental & General tires. With the new equipment and great employees coming to us from Tires Inc. we’ll hit the ground running, and be able to provide fast excellent service. I think Tire Inc’s customers will appreciate the option to get maintenance and repairs done along with their tire purchases and service. Our highly skilled technicians work on domestic, Asian, and German cars, trucks and SUVs.
“Boulder Tire and Independent Motors are completely independent, local, and family-owned. We drive on the same roads you do. Our philosophy is simple: to treat our customers the way we would want to be treated. None of our employees works on commission, so we have nothing to gain by recommending tires or repairs you don’t need. In return, our customers are very loyal and trust us. Many have been with us since we first opened our doors. I hope to earn the same level of trust from Tires Inc customers.”
