Switch on the Holidays – 5pm in Downtown Boulder

This free event will provide plenty of fun for the holidays. It’s an annual event perfect for the entire family. You will enjoy watching Santa count down to the grand illumination of the Pearl Street Mall and the Courthouse. Along with the lights, the Fairview High drum corps and Snowplow Sam will be on hand. Boulder Memorial Day Activities to Celebrate Summer!

You can feel summer creeping up all May long, but its arrival is not official until Memorial Day arrives. Good thing Boulder blows out Memorial Day weekend with three full days of events, music, and food and drink.

Here are 22 things going on that weekend, starting about an hour after everyone gets off work Friday and running through Monday evening. Included is one big festival, America’s best race, a collection of good musicians, and thousands upon thousands of yellow rubber ducks.

Boulder High School Students: Check Out Independent Motors’ Auto Repair Scholarship

Some exciting news from our sister company, Independent Motors, a Boulder car repair institution since 1983: The team at Independent Motors has created a $1,000 scholarship just for Boulder-area high school students who would like to pursue a career in automotive technology.
This Boulder auto repair scholarship applies to graduating local high school students — this includes students in Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville and other nearby communities — and will go toward studies at Front Range Community College’s Auto Mechanic program in the fall of 2015.
